Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to us. At Xeroed we have a few fundamental principles:
Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals. It is based upon the Automattic.com privacy policy, which the kind folks there have decided to make available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license.
Xeroed.com ("Xeroed") operates the website xeroed.com. It is Xeroed's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, Xeroed collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Xeroed's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Xeroed's visitors use its website. From time to time, Xeroed may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
Xeroed may contract with third-party service providers to assist in better understanding its site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on Xeroed's behalf except to help it conduct and improve its business. Xeroed uses Google Analytics to collect aggregate information about how its visitors interact with its website, so the site can be improved. Google Analytics does not record any personally identifiable information (such as names, social security numbers, email addresses, or any similar data). You can read the privacy policy for Google Analytics on their website, and can download their opt-out browser add-on from their website to opt-out from Google Analytics data collection.
Xeroed also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users saving data on its website. Xeroed only discloses these IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
Payment processing
Xeroed uses Stripe for payments, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection. You can learn more about Stripe and read their privacy policy on their website.
Certain visitors to Xeroed's websites choose to interact with Xeroed in ways that require Xeroed to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Xeroed gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for an account at Xeroed.com to provide a username and email address. In each case, Xeroed collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with Xeroed. Xeroed does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Xeroed may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Xeroed may monitor the pace of card pay-downs on its site. Xeroed may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Xeroed does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Xeroed discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Xeroed's behalf or to provide services available at Xeroed's websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Xeroed's websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Xeroed will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Xeroed discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Xeroed believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Xeroed, third parties or the public at large. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Xeroed takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
